Refund and Cancellation Policy
Effective Date: 12 October 2026
Last Updated: 12 October 2026
1. Scope and Platform Nature
CampusTrade operates purely as a free, peer-to-peer campus classifieds and discovery network. CampusTrade does not charge listing fees, does not take transaction commissions, and does not process payments between buyers and sellers.
2. Direct Buyer-Seller Payments
Because all payments (cash, UPI, or mobile transfer) occur directly and independently between students outside of CampusTrade, CampusTrade does not hold, manage, or disburse funds and cannot directly execute financial refunds or payment reversals.
3. Cancelling Inquiries
Inquiries initiated via WhatsApp may be canceled at any point prior to physical handover simply by notifying the seller on WhatsApp that you no longer wish to purchase the item. There are no platform cancellation penalties or fees.
4. Refunds and Returns Between Students
Refunds or returns for goods purchased through CampusTrade are subject entirely to the mutual agreement established between the individual buyer and seller. We strongly advise buyers to:
- Inspect physical goods thoroughly before finalizing payment.
- Test electronic items, calculators, and appliances in person at the time of meeting.
- Agree in writing on WhatsApp regarding any test-warranty or return period prior to completing payment.
5. Dispute Resolution and Fraud Reporting
While CampusTrade cannot refund payments directly, our administrative moderation team takes reports of misrepresentation, fraudulent listings, and deceptive conduct very seriously. If a seller knowingly sells defective goods or misrepresents item condition:
- Submit an official report via the listing page or Contact Us form.
- Provide screenshots of WhatsApp agreements and photographs of the received item.
- Our team will investigate the complaint and, where dishonesty is substantiated, suspend or ban the offending user from the campus marketplace.
6. Future Paid Services
In the event that CampusTrade introduces premium features, featured listing boosts, or official escrow services in future versions, a revised refund policy governing platform-specific fees will be published and enacted prior to launch.
