Last Updated: 12 October 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
By registering, accessing, or listing items on CampusTrade, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, you must refrain from using the platform.
2. Eligibility and Student Responsibilities
CampusTrade is intended for verified college students, faculty, and affiliated campus staff. You agree to provide accurate, truthful registration information and maintain the security of your account credentials.
3. Listing Guidelines and Prohibited Items
Users may list legal academic materials, electronics, hostel supplies, and general personal goods. The following items are strictly prohibited:
- Hazardous, inflammable, toxic chemicals or weapons.
- Alcohol, tobacco, vape products, narcotics, or prescription drugs.
- Stolen property or counterfeit merchandise.
- Exam question papers, unauthorized answer keys, or materials facilitating academic malpractice.
- Adult entertainment or sexually explicit goods.
4. Direct WhatsApp Communications and Independent Transactions
CampusTrade is a discovery platform that connects student buyers with student sellers. CampusTrade does not act as a broker, payment processor, escrow agent, or delivery partner. All financial transactions, item handovers, and condition assessments are negotiated independently between buyer and seller outside the platform on WhatsApp or in person.
5. Content Moderation, Suspension, and Termination
CampusTrade administrators retain the right to review, edit, unpublish, or permanently delete any listing that violates community standards. Users found engaging in fraud, harassment, or repeatedly posting misleading ads will have their accounts suspended or permanently banned without notice.
6. Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the photos and descriptions you post on CampusTrade, but grant CampusTrade a non-exclusive license to display this content on the platform. The CampusTrade logo, software codebase, and site styling are the exclusive property of CampusTrade.
7. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CampusTrade and its administrative maintainers shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from user-to-user transactions, product defects, or misunderstandings arising from independent agreements reached over WhatsApp.
8. Safety Recommendations
We strongly urge students to arrange physical handovers in well-lit, public campus locations (e.g., student cafeterias, library foyers, or academic building concourses) during daytime hours, and to thoroughly inspect items prior to handing over payment.
